No one says anything but there are a lot of eyes on the Faunus students, worried, accusing... some even sympathetic, FURIEH is a new terrorist group made of Faunus who have been attacking humans in vicious ways.

Scarlet nodded in agreement with Brant, "Beacon does have a reputation for on the job training though apparently there is still a lot theory to study up on as well,"
Brook was right, going to Atlas Military Academy was not somewhere that Scarlet would have enjoyed going to, "As good as Atlas' academy is, overly militaristic just strikes the wrong chord with me,"

He lets out a little sigh at the news of the new terrorist group, though he doesn't seem to tie it to any of the faunus present

Jayk grimaces, hearing the news, but smiles at Brooke. "If I gave away my gammy's gift, I'd be more scairt of her whuppin' arm than of any ol' grimble. Lucky fer us, she gave be a box fer my own use too. With my things, downside." Jayk shrugs self-consciously. "Jes' an ol' army duffel one o' mah kin used, back in the day." He'd seen all the things other travelers had; he knew his pack was old, rugged, and just shy of antique.

Headmaster Ozpin is very well thought of," Scarlet said to Brant, she had done research into all the various academies in the kingdoms before plumping for Beacon. "Brook, do you want me to go look for your brother?" Scarlet said volunteering just in case Brooke was up to something.

Brant laughs softly "I was mostly having a little fun cause year, i was born and raised in the city a Vale, so the academy was always just there you know". He looks over to Scarlet "But yeah, thankfully it is pretty good, they only take the best really"

Someone says, his voice is deep and a bit defensive, "I guess I am guilty of listening into other people's conversations so I will apologize for that."

She uses stuff like butter, lard, an stuff we make on the farm. Iffen I didn't share it? Reckon I'd gain like hunnert pounds or somethin." Jayk grins broadly. "Anaway, it also makes me look good to share, people might not jes' see how ol' and rickety my things be."
He shrugs, making light of it. "See, big families on a farm means easier work, but also means stretchin' some things."

Scarlet looked around to try and find where Brooke was. Usually it wasn't that difficult to spot the purple haired ram-boy. After a few minutes of searching Scarlet was wondering where he could be but then heard his voice calling out for someone to bake cookies. She walked over in his direction and saw him an auburn haired boy, "Hey Brooke, use your indoor voice. Your sister was worried you might be getting yourself into trouble," she decided not add the word 'again' onto the end of the sentence, despite it being accurate.

She then looks back over to Umbra and smiles, "Want to head to the hall together?" She asks just encase Umbra wants the company.

"Boss, Good to see you. Jayk this is my friend Scarlet we went to school together last year." He introduces her and heads for the exit. "I am looking forward to the new people."
