Scarlet pressed the retract button on her spear and quickly slid the blade back into its sheath. She then turned and sprinted over in the direction where she had seen Orchid fly. She was relieved to see her new partner limping back to the group, "I think you need to work on your landing strategy," she jokes before being a little more serious, "You good? Any bad injuries?"

Sylvie's perch atop the Grimm disappears along with the beast itself and suddenly she's falling through a cloud of rapidly dissipating ash. She transitions smoothly to a 3 point superhero landing - one foot, one knee and one hand, the free hand extended to her side as the blood for her weapon flows back through the seams of her outstretched gauntlet.
"I'm fine, thanks!" She hollers to Scarlet's retreating back, then laughs and shakes her head as she rises to her feet, dusting off her knee and looking around for Haze.
"You good, Hazy?" She asks in a cheerful and friendly tone.

Haze waited a moment longer as the Grimm disintegrated in front of her. With a quick click the blades retracted and she secured her tonfas at her sides. She watched as Scarlet ran off to check on Orchid and then her attention was back on Sylvie.
Being called 'Hazy' made her genuinely laugh out loud for the first time even though she wasn't sure she liked the nickname much. She sidled up a little closer to the other girl as she glanced over to the other pair.
"Call me Hazy again and I will beat you bloody." Her tone was sickly sweet and venomous at the same time. But Sylvie, perceptive girl as she was turning out to be, could tell there was no actual threat there.
"How about you?" There was real, if subtle, concern in her voice as she looked Sylvie over.
