Scarlet opened the door to the four bedroom dorm room that would be her home for the next few years. It had a bed and a desk for each student and a small wardrobe. It wasn't exactly luxury but it would do. Hopefully it would allow for an environment for good studying as well as getting to know her new team mates, "Okay who wants which bed?" she asked Orchid Slinks , Umbra Astrum and Taronja Farfield . |

Orchid walks in, shouldering her bag containing everything non-weapon based that she owns in the world. Two changes of clothing. Secretly a pile of papers that she keeps as a journal. An extra pair of boots. A knife (it's a tool, not a weapon!).
She watches the other members of the team wander around for a while, and without saying anything, lays claim to one of the beds by unceremoniously dumping her stuff on it. She's picked it for a multitude of reasons - it's the furthest away from the window, for one, which is Important. If someone's going to start sniping through the windows she wants No Part Of That.
She takes out her pack of cigarettes and puts it on the pillow. She's at least got the basic human decency not to smoke inside the room, but she wants them close, and she has an unlit one hanging from her lip mostly as a security blanket. The bat she puts on her desk, along with her uzi, which she promptly unloads and strips down, working with military precision. When that's done she hops up on her bed, and frowns heavily.
It's too soft. It'll be like sleeping in marshmallows.
God damn, she's going to hate it here.

"Okay so Taronja gets the bed closest to the door because he's clearly very tired," Scarlet said and saw that Orchid had taken a bed as well. Scarlet selected the bed nearest to the window so she had a view. She dumped her bag next to it.

She seems a little awkward right now. She's not used to this.
"...I don't mind doing the dishes, as long as things don't get crazy. I will murder anyone who decides to make lasagna and not handle it themselves, though."
She coughs, and removes the cigarette from her lips, putting it away into her coat pocket.
"...How are you... roomies?..."

"Eh, I don't really make food. I figure I'll just rely on the cafeteria for all my non-snack needs," Scarlet said laying back onto her bed, "But point taken, Orchid. We should try to keep this place vaguely tidy,"
Scarlet found the bed comfortable enough, if a bit smaller than she was used to, "I'm pretty good. Nice to finally relax. Since getting here I've felt pretty tense. How are you doing?" she looked across at Orchid in the bed next to her.

"I..." She takes a moment to look around, at her new team mates. Her roommates.
"...Need a cigarette."
She gets up and walks towards the window. Damn, no way out that way without smashing it. She looks like she's sizing up doing that for a minute, but after a while she goes back to her bed and grumbles.
"I'll get one later."

Scarlet will look a little curiously at Orchid going to the window and then sitting back down on her bed, "I'm sure there are places you can go and smoke somewhere if you'd prefer not to smoke around here? We could ask some second year students if you'd like?"

Scarlet will take a couple of things out of her luggage; her scroll and a bag of mini-cookies. She opens the bag and eats a mini-cookie before setting the bag on the desk next to her bed, "Please help yourselves," she'll then turn on her scroll and select some rock music to play though keeps the volume down low, enough to just add a little sound to the background to get people at ease.

"Look," Orchid says, huddling up with her arms around her knees, "It's nothing personal. People and I just don't get along. This whole room mate thing is new to me. I'm used to sleeping in caves and forests, temporary shelters, or... cramped five by six rooms, generally alone."

Orchid gives Scarlet a look that simultaneously says 'I can't believe something so saccharine came out of your mouth' and 'yeah, we'll see how you feel in a week'.
With that, she hops back to her feet on the ground, and walks out the door, taking out a cigarette.
"Gonna go smoke. Don't touch my bat. Guns okay, I guess."

Scarlet grins at the look Orchid gives her, clearly the message got through, "Enjoy your smoke," she said as the purple haired girl left the room, "I believe class starts at nine o'clock in the morning, Taronja. So lets hear about you? Where you two have come from?" she asked both Umbra and Taronja.
