Dear Everyone,
Cain't rightly tell ya how pretty things is from up high. Surely does make a fella feel small tho. Took a while to get to Beacon Academy, but it was worth the look-see. No, Grammy, I ain't seen the Perfesser yet, but I do have his package in my bags. Met a new fella here, one o' them Faunuses. Seems a right nice young man, so I guess Pap's right. Ain't no way to know what kind of folk a person is by lookin at 'em.
Hope Tom's likin' getting my bed, And Sal's helpin' with the stock like he said. Ma, Tell Lilac to keep a good eye on the new baby for me. Say sorry to Ben, I know he liked me as the go-to brother, but this was important. Greg, Dan, you're gonna need to step up now, means less playin' but you'll get more freedom too.
Let Joyce and Grace know I love them.
Have to go for now, will write when I know more.
Love to all,
Jaykie

Howdy All!
Been here a couple days now, got all kinds a folk I done met and made nice with. Pap, I got to meet one of the DeWitt family! Brant's his name. He seemed right pleased our most depend'ble machine's one of their own. He an' I had a tussle with a grimm in the forest out by here. Wasn't nothin' too bad, but he can move like a kingfisher on a minnow! I got sorted inter a team, they called it blue-jay. Couple o' right nice folk from Atlas, me, and Brant. Don' you be flustered, Ma, but t'other two are girls. Don' worry, I'm behavin'. Brook's a kindhearted gal, I met her brother on the flyer inter Beacon. Nice folk. Lancetta seems ta think everything is gift wrapped jes' ta be enjoyed. Honestly think that girl has silver linings up her sleeves ta bully onta any cloud.
Feel a little outta place ta be honest, what with all these people from big important families. But a fella's gotta start somewheres! Sure, maybe Great-Granpappy didn't have a lot, but he founded our homestead after he came back from the War, an' we Farfields have kept it growin' and workin' since. Bandits, weather, fires, an' grimm ain;t stopped us, an' I ain't about ta let my own self stop me now, no matter what. I reckon we'll all teach each other some new things. Maybe they can even show me why I get so many silverwares at the dinner table. Somebody has got ter be mad washin' up so much that ain't needful.
Love to All, Jaykie
P.S. How come none of Y'all tol' me my cousin was comin' here too?!
