Name: Haze Starling
Motivation: Escape the Past
Virtue: Cunning
Fault: Secretive
Summary: Haze comes from a wandering tribe of bandits that plague both continents of Anima and Sanus. She spent most of her years barely surviving and always on the move - either because the tribe was avoiding larger packs of Grimm when they couldn't fight them off or getting away with other people's food and goods to keep their band thriving. They would rob caravans on the road and sea, towns, and even from the edges of the kingdoms of Mistral and Vale. Haze was taught to fight and fight dirty if it meant keeping herself alive.
Haze's reasons for coming to Beacon are tragic. A few years ago she and her best friend had been out on their own when they were confronted with a young Death Stalker. It caught them unawares and while they held their own for some time it didn't last. One wrong move and Haze found herself staring in horror as her friend was skewered right in front of her eyes by the stinger of the Grimm- having jumped to her defense at the last moment. She barely got away from the creature after that. Since then she has wanted to help other people avoid her friend's fate and Beacon seemed the best place to start.
Her tribe also has their reasons for sending their scion to Beacon...and they are much less noble minded.

Name: Obscurus
Summary: This Semblance is Haze's primary ability. It reflects her life growing up in a wandering bandit tribe and the need to do anything to survive. Relying on stealth to bring victory. Most of Obscurus' abilities are defensive or utilitarian in nature. It allows Haze to obscure herself or her allies in mist. It can also obscure an enemy's sight. While obscured with this power Haze can also teleport short distances; though she has yet to be able to bring anyone with her.
The mist can be used offensively only if it is infused with Dust. (Example: Infusing the mist with Ice Dust and sending it out could freeze an opponent, while infusing it with Fire Dust could potentially burn anyone caught within.)

Name: Reflections
Summary: Reflections is a hereditary Semblance that allows Haze to copy the Semblances of others. She can only copy the Semblance through physical contact with the original user - be it ally or foe. When copying other powers she can only retain one Semblance at a time (this includes her secondary Semblance Obscurus. If she is using another Semblance that one doesn't work). After some time, if Haze wishes to re-use a previously copied Semblance she will have to physically touch the person who has it again. While Reflections instantly copies the Semblance of others it doesn't 'explain' itself; so Haze must learn how it works in order to be able to use it effectively. (For example: copying Emerald's Semblance may give Haze the ability to mess with her opponent's perception, but if she has no idea how to do that, she either won't be able to do it or at least not be able to use it at Emerald's level.) It is also dangerous for Haze to copy a power because if the Semblance is dangerous in and of itself, having no understanding of how it works can lead to serious, unwanted, self inflicted injuries or worse.
